Johanna Rossi

Johanna Rossi is an artist based in Monaco. In this episode of the podcast she talks about her journey to art.

Having originally trained in architectural design she worked various jobs circling the creative industries and it was not until she had her first child and found she needed time in recovery with health problems that she picked up painting again.

What I learned from Johanna

  1. She always knew she wanted to be around art and took a safe choice with architectural design for her degree.

  2. Her jobs gave her a business and technical skillset that serves her well as an artist

  3. Motherhood was a turning point for using art to explore her feelings

  4. She can be overwhelmed with social media often looking for approval in the number of likes a post might get. It can feed self doubt but this awareness means she can manage how she shows up

  5. She is building an audience on Pinterest ahead of launching a print collection in spring 2019
