Just a Card & Sarah Hamilton

Sarah Hamilton and I got together to talk about recent updates on the Just A Card Campaign that she started four years ago.

In this episode she talks about the impact of the campaign that encourages people to buy from independent makers, artists, designers, shops and galleries, and how every sale can make a difference to a small business that is run on passion.

Sarah goes on to talk about the work she has been doing as part of this campaign in the last year and discusses the project launching June 2019 in collaboration with Funding Circle that brings posters to the London Underground,

Five Things I learned from Sarah

  1. In the last year Sarah has spoken at Top Drawer, Greetings Card Association and the Design Trust

  2. The collaboration with Funding Circle came about after connecting on social media. The campaign has fifteen posters on the London Underground with sitters from the world of stage and screen.

  3. Funding Circle made a donation in the name of the sitters to Anno’s Africa - a charity where Sarah is a Trustee.

  4. Sitters for the posters include Richard E Grant, Twiggy, Natalie Dormer, Dominic Cooper, Hayley Mills, Greta Scachi and more.

  5. The posters can be seen at stations on London Underground including Angel, London Bridge & Bank
