Justin Capalbo
New York-based artist and photographer. A member of Soho Photo Gallery and also an Assistant Professor of Communication and Media Studies at Manhattanville College where he teaches digital media production. He holds an MFA in Photography from Long Island University and a BFA in Graphic Design.
Justin’s recent work is a look inward at the increased sense of isolation and loneliness. The work stretches across the deserts of New Mexico, the streets of Tokyo and the emptiness of Iceland. During this transformative time in Justin’s life he is exploring the difference between desiring isolation and enduring it. Justin leads photo- based study abroad trips around the world.
