Karen Taylor
Karen Taylor is a Toronto-based abstract artist, whose recent work celebrates the art of typography and the abstract patterns the words create. Her paintings feature her favourite words, quotes and song lyrics.
She says: “My latest collection, Bold Type, reflects my passion for exploring the beauty and expressiveness of typography. With each piece, I aim to create a distinct and emotive visual language that tells a story. I believe that fonts are much more than just a means of conveying written language. Through this intersection of art and design, the viewer is invited to engage with the words in a new and thought-provoking way. Whether it’s playing with scale, colour, or texture, I strive to create paintings that are not only beautiful but also meaningful.”
