Petra Schott

Petra Schott is a German abstract painter, weaving her art around states of mind, longings, and memories.

In a pivotal decision, she embarked on a Fine Arts Degree at the Art Academy in Kassel after her second law exam, embracing her creative calling. Despite her artistic fervor, Petra chose a path of security, becoming a judge while still nurturing her passion for painting, seeking a delicate balance in life.

Petra delicately composes colorful representations of nostalgia, freedom, and human relationships while exploring the intangible realm of nature. Her works feature loosely outlined human facial expressions, weaving personal and collective memories into shapes, marks, and lines, creating an abstract language that dances between lyrical abstraction and figurative references.

Petra is featured inside the Winter 2024 Issue of Art Seen, published November.
