Susie McColgan
Susie McColgan is a Michigan-based artist who grew up enjoying the Great Lakes and their beautiful vast skies and sunsets. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a BFA, she worked across the region as an art director, producing award winning illustrations and designs.
She says: “Throughout the commercial work, my painting and portraiture was always my greatest joy and passion, so I decided to dedicate my energies and career to following that path. Unfortunately in 2019 I had a near-death accident with multiple injuries and surgeries, but after a year of recovery, I was able to paint again.”
