Maha Satish

A painter and illustrator, Maha started drawing and painting as a way of conveying herself to others and developed that into a code to talk to herself.

She is also a sports illustrator, who has produced illustrations and sketches for sports websites and books.

Of her art, Maha shares, “I paint contemporary portraits in oil. I enjoy the challenge of the medium, and the techniques that come with it. I have done big paintings and more recently enjoyed doing a small sized series. Mostly figurative, my subjects have recently included faces, people with dogs, children, just dogs, dogs in bookshops, dogs in action.” 

“Painting to me is sometimes like solving and at other times like rehearsing a skill I am rehearsing... on many occasions it is just accessing a particular cavity/convexity in my head. “
