Maria de los Angeles Sancho

Maria de los Angeles Sancho is a collage artist based in Chile. Her materials include images and photos from old magazines and recycled books.

Sancho started a few years ago learning from analogue collage techniques that allow her to create new images using old photos.

Of her art, Maria shares, “I like through my collages to tell a storie, so that in every part of the image you can see something happening. My collages have a lot of colour and I like to play and create contrast with them. I also like to create new characters with animals from old images so that they can have a new personality. My goal it`s that the viewer can identify with my work and create new stories from it. I use images and photos from old magazines and recycled books to create fantasy worlds.”
