Kingsley Ebunyebe
Kingsley’s studio is located in Ukana, Enugu state.
He believes that every meaningful creation comes from nature, just as creativity is a platform given to man to compensate him for things yet unmade. He fell in love with nature and art. He draw inspiration from the above to frame his works within the context of a visually engaging artworks which lend voices to the social, political and economic atmosphere in Nigeria and the world at large. Art has become to him a vehicle for the recreation, reformation and remaking of already existing ideas which hitherto were lying abstract in our minds. From the beginning Kingsley love wood carving which he explore in different ways, recently during his MFA research work he used wood and metal to explore knots as a creative resource in sculpture. Through his research work he developed style which combines carving and knotting to create forms that make statements towards social, political and economic atmosphere in Nigeria and the world at large.
