Teresa Selbee-Baker’s studio located in Savary Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Teresa Selbee-Baker, originally from British Columbia's Interior, now draws inspiration from the West Coast. As a wife and mother of two grown sons, her art explores themes of memory, identity, and feminine perspectives. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Thompson Rivers University in 2006 and has been an active member of the Thrive Together Network since 2020, an international community for womxn artists. Continuously learning, she engages in online classes to develop and explore new techniques. Selbee-Baker's artistic journey includes solo exhibitions in Kamloops BC, Savary Island BC, Chicago IL and Clearwater BC, as well as group showcases in Sechelt BC, Kamloops BC and Vancouver BC. Working with her remote location, Selbee-Baker participated in online exhibitions in 2021 and 2022, and several in 2023. Selbee-Baker has been recognition by local newspapers, Artist Talk Magazine, Suboart Magazine, and CBC Radio One’s North by Northwest.
