Maria Lintott
Maria Lintott is a visual artist who explores the dynamic potential of paper, using precise sculptural paper cuts to create geometric mixed media artworks. Intrigued by the natural world and the symbolism behind it, she hand stitches three-dimensional birds, butterflies, dragonflies and botanical elements using an array of papers. Designing each element individually, she has developed a layering technique which allows light and shadow to play a role in the artwork, while repetition is used to capture a sense of rhythm and movement. She is intrigued by how the viewer interacts with her pieces and the emotions they imbue.
Maria is feature on the Art Seen, Issue 12 published in May 2024.
