Liste Art Fair, Basel, June 2022

Here I share some of the highlights from my visit to Liste Art Fair which takes place alongside Art Basel.

The fair takes place in a space next door to the Messe, which is way more convenient than the last time i visited and it involved a tram ride to another part of town.

Liste presents young and emerging galleries, and this year hosted 82 galleries from 37 countries worldwide featuring works by over 100 artists and 60 solo and 22 group presentations. There’s a wonderful energy to this fair, it feels fresh, exciting and less formal compared to the big fair next door.

This year two Kyiv based galleries - The Naked Room and Voloshyn - were invited by the fair, and given free booths as the war in Ukraine saw them close the doors to their gallery spaces and put business on hold.
