Snowden Flood
I met up with Snowden Flood at her shop at the Oxo Tower, on London's South Bank. Surrounded by her work, we discussed show she arrived here.
Snowden trained in the UK and in New York and found herself working in the luxury interiors business while based in the US and travelling the world. She developed a keen eye for technical textiles, and recognised how much she enjoyed working with both designers and manufacturers.

Eight things I learned from Snowden Flood
Snowden is an avid collector of textiles, antiques and particularly souvenirs of places.
She loves working with experts in their field, whether it is the ceramicists in Stoke on Trent or textile manufacturers around the world.
She works on private commissions alongside her retail venture
Her first collection was laser cut leather cushions which was encouraged by Joan Pope to turn it into a collection
She has always had a 'silhoutte-y' style and has found that her drawings from her university days are quite similar to the new work she produces today.
As she gets involved in different processes, Snowden still finds she has the occasional bout of imposter syndrome
When visiting new places she looks for local auctions before checking out the best places to eat!
Her shop at the Oxo Tower will be part of the London Design Festival 15-23 September 2018.
