Raymond Perez
Raymond Perez is an artist based in Streamwood, Illinois who began drawing and painting at a very young age. With pencil and paper Perez would try to draw what he saw on television or whatever he saw around him. As time past, he continues to draw and then started to use water media paints such as watercolors and tempera paints.
About his art, he shares, “I paint on canvas, paper, and wood boards in all mediums, I also use spray paint in my works. I'm an art maker who uses the natural elements to the allure of the decorative visual and to the use of colors. I like to create texture in my paintings using celluclay, gold leaf, sand, trees, and I also include taxidermy animals. I am a member of the Illinois Watercolor Society and really enjoy the medium as one of my favorite mediums to paint in. I also enjoy drawing portraits of people I know and celebrities. I like to think of myself as a Contemporary Artist.”
