Seb Pollington

Formerly a British Army Colonel, Defence Diplomat, Mentor and Sports Chairman, artist Seb Pollington is a British painter based in Italy and UK. He works mainly in acrylic and oil and sometimes pencil and coloured sketching.

His work centres on landscape, urban and coastal settings, especially in Italy where he currently lives and works.

He focuses in particular on light, line, shape, colour and creating a sense of place. He views his career as bestowing experience in life and locations which he may never otherwise have achieved. They feature strongly in his portfolio. He also translates these to still life compositions.

His style tends to combine contemporary form and colour with traditional landscape scenes. Perspectives and sight-lines combine with bold shades, strong brushstrokes and plenty of imperfection. The results are a mix of the grandiose and down-to-earth in paintings now attracting some attention in galleries and curators worldwide.

Seb has exhibited at the Deansgate Gallery with British Art Exhibitions Manchester 2020, Virtual Reality show from February 2022, and will be showing in Zurich 3.0 Swiss Art Expo (August 2021).
