Cindy J. Miller
Cindy J. Miller is a Canadian artist whose work is often born of an internal dialogue surrounding perceptions, whether they be visual, auditory or tactile. As an instinctual observer, she is constantly absorbing and analyzing. Social perceptions, triggered attribution, conflicting views - these things are intriguing and often seed themselves in her thoughts when she is conceptualizing an idea and composing a piece.
About her work, she shares, “I tend to express with colour, exploring and weaving the realms of abstraction and realism, often incorporating elements of the natural landscape and the landscape of the human figure in a metaphorical way. As in the traditional baroque style of creating, I'm often drawn to the use of elements such as contrast and diagonal lines and shapes for their energy and drama.”
