Gerard Sternik

Gerard Sternik is a draughtsman, sculptor and photographer currently residing in Toronto Canada. He studied at the Ontario College of Art and graduated from the Department of Fine Art in 1988, spending his final year in the off-campus Florence program.

About his art journey, he shares, “The 2020 pandemic forced me to abandon all of the larger sculptural projects I was working on, and to find a smaller more compact way to continue working. I turned to digital composite photography, an approach I started to experiment with in 2015 as a solution to this challenge...a camera, laptop and a room were all I needed to continue the process of art making.”

Gerard is one of the Founders/Directors of the Animation Portfolio Workshop in Toronto Canada.
